
09 Oct A Night for the Books: Harvard-Westlake’s Comeback Win Over Notre Dame Academy on Varsity Girls Volleyball Senior Night
Senior Night is always a big deal, but this year for the Harvard-Westlake varsity girls volleyball team, the stakes felt even higher. With the spotlight on seniors Kelsey Kim, Malia Yap, and Chloe Dolkhart, the team faced off against Notre Dame Academy in a match that would be talked about for years to come.
The gym was decked out to the nines, a huge balloon arch, posters and banners highlighting each senior on display all around the gym for all to see. Friends, families, cheerleaders and students turned out in full force, eager to cheer on the team and especially our seniors: Kelsey, Malia, and Chloe.
Now, about that unforgettable game against Notre Dame Academy. Things didn’t look good at first; the team was down by two games. But just when the situation seemed dire, something incredible happened. Fueled by the energy of Senior Night and the will to win, Harvard-Westlake staged an epic comeback.
As Kelsey, Malia, and Chloe prepare to move on to the next chapters of their lives, they’ve set the bar incredibly high for those who’ll follow them. This unforgettable Senior Night and the incredible win against Notre Dame Academy are the perfect ending to their high school volleyball careers.
Here’s to our amazing seniors and a Senior Night that exceeded all expectations. Your future is as bright as the gym lights under which you’ve played so brilliantly.
